Update on Halal Certification by the Government of Indonesia

Thank you for your cooperation in our activities. We would like to report that the latest information on halal certification by the Indonesian government has been updated. Please refer to the past articles here for the history of Indonesia. On April 28, 2022, we received a notice from BPJPH of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Indonesia that our document screening has been completed.

After this, it is not clear whether BPJPH will come to Japan and conduct a field audit on our association, but the document screening has been completed.   On the same day, BPJPH explained to the embassies of each country the status of mutual recognition of halal certification organizations in each country. (Please refer to the attached document for the status of mutual recognition in each country)   The next step is to have a bilateral agreement between the embassies of each country and BPJPH.
